DAY 01: SAIGON ARRIVAL  

Arrive at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, met & greeted by Asiana Travel Tour Guide. Take a short city tour including: the neo-Romanesque Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, City Hall (Hotel De Ville), the old OPERA HOUSE (both may only be viewed from the outside), China Town and Hard Rock Café.  Check in hotel and overnight in Saigon (Time of checking in is at 14h00).

DAY 02: SAIGON  CU CHI TUNNELS  SAIGON

After the breakfast, we visit Reunification Palace (also known as Independence Palace), an important site of political and cultural significance. Continue with War Remnants Museum, comprehensively documents the travails of the long Vietnam- American War. In the afternoon, drive to visit Cu Chi Tunnels – an incredible underground tunnel network constructed by Vietnamese resistance fighters during the long struggle for independence. Then, back to Saigon for overnight.

DAY 03: SAIGON  MEKONG DELTA  SAIGON

Drive to My Tho/ Mekong Delta and take a boat trip along creeks for sightseeing. It is the great way to observe and experience the local lifestyle. Enjoy Coconut Candy, Coconut Juice and Honey Tea. On the way back to Saigon, visit Vinh Trang Pagoda – the sacred destination of Tien Giang Province. Overnight in Saigon.

DAY 04: SAIGON  HANOI BY FLIGHT (EXCLUDED AIRFARE)

You will be transferred to Tan Son Nhat Airport for domestic flight to Hanoi. Arrive at Noi Bai Domestic airport, met & greeted by Asiana Travel Tour Guide and transfer to the hotel (Time of checking in is at 14h00).

In the afternoon, we visit Ho Chi Minh Complex {Include Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (closed Monday and Friday year-round and throughout September to November), Ba Dinh square, Presidential Palace (Outside Only), Uncle Ho’s House on stilt, One pillar pagoda} and Vietnam Museum of Ethnology that offers a fascinating insight into Vietnam’s 54 ethnic minorities. Late afternoon, enjoy Water Puppet Show, a traditional performance of Vietnam. Overnight in Hanoi.

DAY 05: HANOI  HALONG OVERNIGHT ON CRUISE

After the breakfast, tranfer to Halong Bay (approximate 3,5 hours). Embark & check in with welcomed juice glass. Sailing cruise for a cruise amongst hundreds of islets of Ha Long Bay. Enjoy a seafood lunch and a swim (if weather permits) before visiting a grotto of gigantic stalactites and stalagmites. Drop anchor in the late evening for an overnight stay amongst the dramatic limestone peaks rising out of the sea. Overnight on Cruise.

DAY 06: HALONG BAY  HANOI

You will spend the morning cruising through the limestone cliffs and emerald waters of Ha Long Bay before returning to the wharf. Back to Hanoi for shopping at Trang Tien Plaza or Old Quarter or Dong Xuan Market. Check in hotel and overnight in Hanoi.

DAY 07: HANOI  LUANG PRABANG BY FLIGHT (EXCLUDED AIRFARE)

Transfer to Noi Bai International Airport for flight to Luang Prabang. Arrive at Luang Prabang Airport, met & greeted by Asiana Travel Tour Guide. Proceed to the hotel for checking in (Time of checking in is at 14h00).

In the afternoon, start the tour with National Museum (former Royal Palace) where you can explore the history of Laos. Then, stroll around to see the Street Night Bazaar and climb up to the top of Phousi Mount for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as viewing a beautiful panorama sunset over this once royal ancient city and the Mekong River. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

DAY 08: LUANG PRABANG  HILL TRIBES

After the breakfast, we depart from  Luang Prabang and drive up hill toward North-East of air-port via Hath Hient Village. Make a stop at the village to experience how villagers make iron knife. Continue to Ban Pickngai (Yuan ethnic minority). Passing the paddy rice field, we arrive at Ban None Tan (Khmu & Low Land ethnic minority) and Ban Kok Wan (Khmu & Low Land). After the lunch, we have time for swimming in Nam Pa River, one of the most scenic rivers. Then, we drive along the Nam Pa River bank to Ban Bo Hae, Ban Tha Oui and Ban Kok Muang to visit the Hmong villages. It is time to visit 2 more villages on the other river bank by crossing the wooden bridge. Drive back to Luang Prabang for overnight.

In the afternoon, take a half day Vientiane City Tour including: That Luang Stupa, a gleaming golden stupa – the national monument, Wat Phra Keo, the former royal temple; Wat Si Saket, famous for its cloister wall housing thousands of tiny Buddha images and rows with hundreds of seated Buddhas; Patuxay, a war monument dedicated to those who fought for the independence from France. Overnight in Vientiane.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Notre Dame Cathedral: Officially Basilica of Our Lady of The Immaculate Conception is a cathedral located in the downtown of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Established by French colonists, the cathedral was constructed between 1863 and 1880.

  • Central Post Office: a post office in the downtown Ho Chi Minh City, near Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica, the city’s main church. The building was constructed when Vietnam was part of French Indochina in the early 20th century.

  • City Hall: was built between 1902 – 1908 in the French Colonial Style to serve as Saigon’s City Hall. Since 1975, it has served as a headquarters of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee.

  • Saigon Opera House: At the turn of the 20th century, this magnificent building, designed by French Architect Ferret Eugene, was built as a classical opera house with 800 seats to entertain French colonists.

  • China Town: One noticeable characteristic of this area is the structure of shop house which Chinese brought from South China, at the beginning of 18th Century.

  • Reunification Palace: is an important site of political and cultural significance, built by the French in 1868 to mark the newly established colony of Indochina.

  • War Remnant Museum: comprehensively documents the travails of the long Vietnam- American War. Inside are detailed photographic exhibitions; outside is a collection of tanks, planes and weapons. A powerful experience, this museum is guaranteed to provoke strong emotions.

  • Cu Chi Tunnels: an incredible underground tunnel network constructed by Vietnamese resistance fighters during the long struggle for independence. The tunnels, over 250km in length and up to three levels deep in places, played a huge part in the Viet Cong’s victory over the Americans, allowing them to control a large rural area surrounding Ho Chi Minh City. Today, some of the remaining tunnels have been opened to tourists, offering a unique insight into what underground life must have been like during the ‘American’ war.

  • My Tho/ Mekong Delta: was a traditional gateway to Mekong Delta. In the 17th Century, the city become one of the biggest commercial hub in today’s Southern Vietnam.

  • Vinh Trang Pagoda: is the greatest pagoda in Tien Giang, covering an area of 2,000m2 with many beautiful trees. The architecture of the pagoda is a harmonious combination of Asia and European of architectures, creating the splendid but simple features of this Buddist Pagoda.

  • Ho Chi Minh Complex: to be consisted of consisted of Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (closed Monday and Friday year-round and throughout September to November), Ba Dinh square, Presidential Palace (Outside Only), Uncle Ho’s House on stilt, One pillar pagoda.

  • Vietnam Museum of Ethnology: This maynot be the largest but certainly the most interesting museums in Hanoi and Vietnam. There are a number of houses modeling after the traditional architecture of ethnic minorities, especially those who live in Northern and Central highlands.

  • Water Puppet Show: an ancient Vietnamese form of entertainment, which enables the puppeteers to control their active marionettes by levers hidden under the water. Water puppet skits generally enact ancient folklore and legends that are rural in origin, and the theme of water is often present, as it defines so much of Vietnam’s landscape.

  • Halong Bay: In 1962, Ha Long Bay was recognized as a vestige and beauty spot of national significances by Ministry of Culture and Information of Viet Nam and was also recognized as a world national heritage site twice by UNESCO Organization. The first time, in 1994 for the exceptional and universal value of the landscape and the second time in 2000 for the special value of geology and geomorphology.

  • National Museum: the former Royal Palace which houses the collection of valuables including the famous Prabang Buddha statue, gifts received from foreign dignitaries.

  • Night Bazaar Street: where you can find the lovely collection and handmade textile by local and hill tribe people surrounding Luang Prabang.

  • Hill Tribe Villages: Northern Laos is home to many ethnic minorities such as Yuan, Hmong, Khmu…This trip is short getaway from Luang Prabang, but enough to visit a good number of villages where the ethnic minorities inhabit. No other better way to experience local daily life.

  • That Luang Stupa: is a gold-covered large Buddhist stupa in the centre ofVientianeLaos. Since its initial establishment, suggested to be in the 3rd century, the stupa has undergone several reconstructions as recently as the 1930s due to foreign invasions of the area. It is generally regarded as the most important national monument in Laos and a national symbol.

  • Wat Phra Keo: was used as the royal chapel of the Lao Monarchy, but more importantly it was built to house the Emerald Buddha.

  • Wat Sisaket: is one of the most important temples in Laos and known as the only temple that survived the Siamese occupation that destroyed Vientiane in 1828. It was restored in 1924 and subsequently in 1930. The architecture of the temple has some Siamese influence but is mostly based on Laos design. All in all, the temple contains more than 5,000 Buddha statues in various sizes and postures.

  • Patuxay: is well known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph, a war monument dedicated to those who fought for the independence from France, located at the end of Lang Xang avenue, in the heart of Vientiane.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Cancellation within 30 Days prior to the Arrival Date of the Land Packages/ Hotel Booking/ Transportation: No Retention Charges.
  • Cancellation within 15 Days prior to the Arrival Date of the Land Packages/ Hotel Booking/ Transportation: 50% Retention.
  • Cancellation within 10 Days prior to the Arrival Date of the Land Packages/ Hotel Booking/ Transportation or Non-Utilization of the same: 100% Retention.
